Dallas loves to play, and as a result, the city is without a doubt one of the most complete sports and recreation centers in the nation. We enjoy five professional sports teams; The Dallas Cowboys Football Team, The Dallas Stars Hockey Team, The Texas Rangers Baseball Team, The Dallas Mavericks Basketball Team and The Dallas Sidekicks Soccer Team. For those who would rather not sit behind the sidelines, Dallas has dozens of miles of running and biking trails within the city limits, not to mention great lake for fishing and water skiing. White Rock Lake, just six miles from Downtown, has almost 17 miles of scenic jogging and biking trails as well as some of the best fishing in the area.

Dallas boasts a never-ending array of things to see and do. We have an outstanding collection of world-class museums - from the Dallas Museum of Art in the Downtown Arts District to one of the nine museums at historic Fair Park - that offer local perspectives as well as worldly, cultural and scienific views. Family fun knows no end at Six Flags Over Texas, the Southwest's premier theme park. Arcades, drag racing, water and golf parks offer plenty of additional amusements. Natural beauty is in abundance at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden on the shore of scenic White Rock Lake, and endangered animals can roam freely in natural habitats at the Dallas Zoo.

Dallas is a shopping paradise. The city's birth as a trading post has been expanded and multiplied, resulting in one of the most comprehensive marketplaces in the United States. Dallas offers exceptional quality. That fact was established for all time in 1907 with the opening of Neiman Marcus, a Dallas original and one of the most revered retailers in the world. This store helped put Dallas on the fashion and retail map, and it's been joined over the decades by the finest names in retailing from around the world.

Dallas is easy to get to and easy to get around. The region is the home base for American Airlines and Southwest Airlines, top-notch carriers that fly in and out of DFW International Airport and Love Field, respectively. Many other quality domestic and international carriers serve DFW International Airport, which is one of the busiest and most efficient airports in the world. Amtrak and major bus lines also provede scheduled service into the city, while four interstate highways and many more U.S. highways provide easy routes for motorists. Once in Dallas, you can zip around the city by way of taxi, buses, light rail and commuter train. In the Downtown area you can see the sights from a historic trolley or a nostalgic horse-drawn carriage. DART's light rail system provides quick and efficient service to a lot of popular destinations. DART'S new 19th Century styled Trolley-Buses are state-of-the-art in every way offering circulatory service in Downtown and surrounding areas.
